The 6th National Biennial Conference on Adolescents and Adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
The conference will bring together a diverse group of professionals, families and individuals with FASD to discuss research, evidence, model practice and ideas to expand how we sustain and enhance the lives ofindividuals with FASD. Participants will consider and debate how we continue to build on strengths and modify existing programs, services and systems to address barriers to ethical practice in healthcare, housing, social services, mental health, criminal and civil justice, employment and education. Participants will explore ideas for the creation and provision of integrated and collaborative approaches across systems with an emphasis on inclusion, creating a good life, social justice and practicality.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss projects, programs and practices and new research findings including the ethical implications for improving the lives of adolescents and adults with FASD
Explore and examine ethical issues within service delivery and support for adolescents and adults with FASD and their families
Consider and explore new ideas and possibilities for the development of promising practices
Directly hear and learn from individuals with FASD
